Jennifer Camp, LICSW (MA) and LCSW (TX), is a Clinical Social Worker licensed to practice psychotherapy in both Massachusetts and Texas. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings with a broad range of patients presenting to therapy with anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, perinatal mood disorders, grief and loss, major life changes, substance use, health challenges, fertility, and new medical diagnoses. She is deeply passionate about working with people from every unique background and through all stages of adult life.
Background
Jennifer completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (with a Health Psychology focus) at Bates College in Maine, and earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College Graduate School of Social Work in Massachusetts.
Jennifer began her career working as an inpatient clinician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. There she collaborated with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and case managers as part of an interdisciplinary team to meet the complex mental health needs of patients and their families. Later, she led a patient counseling practice at Lynn Community Health Center in Massachusetts, focusing on the integrated needs of outpatients.
Jennifer has also earned her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International which provides specialized training for perinatal mood disorders. Jennifer collaborates with a women centered mental health practice in Dallas, TX that is devoted to women’s emotional and psychological well-being. Locally, she serves on the Women’s Health Advisory Committee which helps to strengthen local hospital and community connections north of Boston. Jennifer is the Founder and Lead Clinician at Blue Ocean Mental Wellness.
